Born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Nicole Heitzman grew up in the small town of Ethan, South Dakota. From the moment she could hold a pencil, Nicole knew that she had a strong love for art. With art and creativity running in the family, Nicole feels she acquired her passion for the arts by watching her parents work on their own pieces over the years. After graduating from High School in Ethan, South Dakota Nicole went on to study art and business at Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD.
Gradually developing her own style of art, Nicole feels naturalistic painting is her true calling as an artist. Drawing her inspiration from exploring the outdoors, hunting and traveling, Nicole feels that with every adventure she gains a new perspective on the beauty of the land that surrounds us all and tries to capture those feelings with each brush stroke.
With a strong passion for wildlife art, scenery, and more, Nicole Heitzman has a unique talent for producing the most riveting paintings. Using her talent to depict prints of scenery, wildlife of all arrays, portraits and many other themes, Nicole’s strong passion for art becomes clear through her exquisite attention to detail.
With an esteemed career in painting wildlife scenes and being acknowledged as one of the top wildlife artists today, Nicole has expanded her business to include photography settings. Her photography skills range from scenic and wildlife photography to wedding and family portraits.
Currently living on a farm outside of Parkston, South Dakota, Nicole has the perfect setting to study wildlife in their natural surroundings and produce some of today’s most well known pieces of wildlife art and more.
